The Legacy Fly Tying Vise from Norvise
Norvise has made their name with the innovative, versatile, and reliable Standard Vise. That vise revolutionized the fly tying game with its lathe-like capabilities and expert design, so there wasn’t much to improve on. But, in 2018, to commemorate Norvise founder Norm Norlander stepping down after 20+ years of running the company, Norvise rolled out the new Legacy Vise.
The main difference between the two is the hardware. The Legacy Vise wanted to present a cleaner, slicker aesthetic while addressing the patina that brass can show over time. So, Norvise swapped the brass hardware of the Standard Vise and replaced it with 303 Stainless Steel. Other than that, the Legacy Vise offers the same smooth dubbing and exact thread control that the Standard offers.
When you buy the Legacy, you also get standard Inline Jaws, a thread post, allen wrenches, an instructional DVD, and mounting hardware for the price of $500. Soon, Norvise will also offer different colorings of this vise with the Legacy C Vise.
